UNIT 2 LESSON 1

Introduction

Eric Lewis

Welcome. In this particular unit, we’re going to learn how to study sentences and paragraphs, essentially the building blocks for interpreting Scripture. Some of the points we’re going to take a look at are words, nouns, verbs, the dreaded grammatical points that some of us have not missed since our high school days. But unfortunately, if you’re going to be a good student of God’s word, you’re going to have to be proficient with grammar. And so, some other points we’re going to look at. Dialogue. Question and answer. What tools did Jesus use when he was trying to teach a lesson, particularly in the gospels? All these things come together and help us with interpreting Scripture properly.
