1. Journal: Begin your journal with a summary of the topics in Acts 13-16 and the supplementary reading. Reflect on points of agreement and disagreement between the videos and the commentary. Then, go back through the events described in chapters 13-16. Do you begin to see why the book of Acts, while not a history book per se, is contextualized in historical events? Include in your journal comparisons of the topics of chapters 13-16 alongside the events. How did events influence the topics?
2. Go over the commentary in the supplemental reading (above), and use it to identify all of the uses of the Old Testament in Acts 13-16 in writing. Do you note any common themes of these Old Testament references? What conclusions do you draw from that?
